Also, a TEENAGER with a BMI of 142.3 is so far beyond crazy.

BMI 142.5 is beyond my comprehension. It's like trying to count to a quintillion.

I know Kid's BMI is a little different; however, at 6' a male would have to be 1,050 lbs to have a 142.5 (142.4) BMI.

Why was she not removed from the home and placed under medical supervision when she became obese? or morbidly obese? If there was a category beyond super obese (50BMI) her ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY FUCKING TWO BMI would place her in that grouping.

It might cost money to have her in a weight loss group home, but if they had done it several hundred pounds earlier, she never would have reached this point.

And why aren't her parents being charged with child abuse and neglect? You could show a picture of this 'girl' to a kindergarden kid and ask them "Is this girl healthy?" and they will say "no". Many of them would also probably be able to tell you ways she could become healthy, such as "playing outside" or "eating fruits and vegetables". And if the parents truly are that stupid, then they should probably be placed in a supervised setting themselves.

Because a lot of social workers are morbid fats and the teen just has baby weight.

But you can be sure all the social worker hams would be breaking down the family door and bringing down the weight of the law on the parents if the kid even slightly hinted at being underweight.

Social workers in general are pretty useless. I think part of it comes from the restrictions placed on them, and part of it is lazyness. At least, that was my experience growing up with them in the public school system or community centres. Some of the worst ones were fat. Big (teehee) shock there! /s

Obesity specialist Professor Tony Leeds told The Sun that the NHS is underestimating the scale of the problem.

Ayy lmao

Underestimating the gravity of the situation, underestimating the size of the problem, underestimating the toll on the system etc

Bed-ridden and needing up to four visits a day by health workers, they cost an average of £80,000 a year each.

Holy shit.
