If think that would lead to unnecessarily crowded threads. I don't like to comment in crowded threads.

Do you object to log that shows you voated up or down?
[–] HarlandKornfeld14 ago
I don't think it's necessary. Normally it's pretty easy to spot those employing voat manipulation, they normally aren't very smart or subtle.

Not a bad idea. Without context, I would simply interpret an upvoat to mean 'I agree', and a downvoat to indicate disagreement. It may just be more convenient to click the arrow, rather than type a reply that will only clutter the thread with redundant comments. I'm with you on making the identity of the voters transparent though.

Every post:
"cool" "interesting" "nice" "comment to upvoat" "upvoat" "upvoat comment"

We discussed this some time ago, but it was thought it would just increase the amount of one word comments.

This is true. But the idea does has merit, as I said way back. The vote system is just a remnant of Reddit we could easily live without.

What do you think about making the voaters known? Should they be hidden?
Added benefit is it would be hard to hide bots or shills if we knew how/when/how fast they voated.

That was also suggested, and the problem people felt with that one was that it would create people running around the site downvoating each other because they've seen that person has downvoated them recently.
