This article seems to speak of the weight of the office and the immense power of the deep state.

As a Trump voter, I still believe DT is/was the best candidate on the ballot. Similarly, I honestly think President Obama intended to bring so much more of the Hope and Change that swept him into office.

At the least, and if he does nothing else, TheDon has been able to shine a bright light from behind the curtain and exposed the puppetmaster.

I'll agree on the Syrian point which he seems to have simmered down on. It's hard to tell what of his rhetoric is trolling and pretend and which he really means until something actually happens. The new health care bill is great.. the article also fails to mention how the oligarchs block him at every turn. Hard to see which are feints and which are strokes but reading his books... should offer up some clues. So personally I'd brand that article "wishful thinking". I do have think he knew it would be hard.. but probably didn't know it was going to be as hard as it is.

Agreed, He still has yet to take on a fight of his own making, up until now its been damage control and tactical responses to the shit that was already going on.

The health plan, and the Tax Plan... Its his tax plan that originally drew me in way back at that first 60 Mins interview...

I think President Trump is doing all he can to try to diplomatically deal with the terrorism situation and maintain workable relationships with other countries. He does not want to send ground forces in to fight other country's wars but is willing to work with other countries as allies to defeat the number one issue facing the world at large today which is Islamic terrorism.

These are not easy tasks to deal with. I would never want that job. In general the article reads like a hit piece on President Trump. Another negative media article.

He's doing what he said he was going to do. Of course there has been no stop obstacles in the way. Also let's not forget he hasn't been president very long. I still believe in TD.

I believe he is an efficient executive. In those wars we will prosecute, we will prosecute them effectively....no bullshit. He has put more decision making authority in the ground level commanders. As far as Syria, you cannot prosecute a war or engagement without projecting power. I think we need/have better relations with Russia because he knows how to project power (Mattis certainly does). Putin respects that. Other thank DPRK, which seems to have gone batshit crazy, I'd say we're much farther from the next big war than we were under B. Hussein for 8 years. He was a laughingstock of the geopolitical set for obvious reasons. He did not know how to project power and he negotiated against his own side's interests with his rhetoric.
