No...just saying death separates us for awhile. There IS a heaven and a hell. I found out that YouTube has quite of near death experience videos...you might watch a few to see what you think.

Obviously it is dependent on the exact religion, but that mostly reflects two things. One is that one person may continue to be alive, so there is at least a temporary parting until both are dead. The second is that death is seen in many religions as a fundamental transition in which you are no longer living as an individual just after your current life. Rather afterlife is a matter of being in direct communion with God for eternity. The entire concept of being married or with another single soul is irrelevant and somewhat nonsensical.

Jesus says on the Bible that such things as conjugal unions no longer exist on Heaven. Therefore, this kind of union ends with the death of one of them. That's why widows are allowed to marry again.
