You've only mentioned temperature to defend your argument, how do distance and weight compare according imperial units being built for human experience (12 inches doesn't mean anything to me as a human imo).
neither does 10 centimeters. the only advantage that has is that idiots can count it out on their fingers. sounds great, but try to divide by 3 or divide by 4 and see where that gets you.
I grew up with the metric system. You can get an idea of temperature with experience. 20 Celsius is warm; 30 is hot; 10 is cold and 0 is literally freezing.
