Until then let's talk about the Hubble "space" Telescope, an unpowered thruster-less heavy jalopy school-bus-sized satellite supposedly orbiting at a mere 335 miles above the Earth. At an altitude of 335 miles there is still over 80% of gravity and still plenty of atmospheric gases - yet this gigantic heavy thing has somehow managed to remain in orbit for over 20 years. Yea right. Look into it.
In reality, something like that would be down on the ground within a day.
