I remember seeing a thread on reddit a while back that documented the numbers of times pro-military posts or soldiers returning home from war had made the front page by accounts from seemingly out of nowhere.
Seemed like a bit of a tinfoil theory to me and the title of the article is probably sensationalized. I see it more in the same light one would with a business that had to adapt with the time and build an online presence because they'd be silly not to.
