Not really. He's an actor. He's either following a script, or he's spouting his own opinions and calling them science. What would an engineer have master knowledge of gender? He doesn't, he's pushing an agenda or he doesn't get his fat paycheck.
Just like ghostbusters, they're using nostalgia in the hopes of turning the tide in their favor. All they seem to be succeeding at is destroying our childhood. Which is fine, it making us act more like adults.

I actually first watched the show Beakmans World before I got into Bill Nye. I assumed both guys were just actors.

No. I barely ever watched his show, it wasn't that successful back then.I seriously do not understand the nastalga bandwagoning that has been occurring over the past few years. Pee Wee Herman, yes - he really was the star of the hour. Bill Nye....not so much. I'm kind of over the internet trying to tell me what they think hapoened durring my childhood instead of what actually did. The worst offenders are the people who missed the '90's entirely and look back at it wistfully. WTF, I was there....and all the shit we fight and stress out about now was happen then too, it just all had different names (actually thats not entirely true, the Clintons were still a force to be reckoned with). Anyway - stop glorifying this guys show. It was never really a thing until some 20 yr old Buzzfeed "editor" pushed it on a '90's listicle.

he's been a nobody for most of his life until 2010's meme brought back his shitty old show.
now he's just trying to earn his retirement funds. he knows this is his one shot and he's making the most of it. can't blame him.
actually might be better that he's accelerating the death of liberalism in the west.
