No, I felt betrayal years ago when I learned that he was actually an actor and not a true scientist.

I never assumed he was on my side, because my first exposure to him wasn't as Bill Nye the Science Guy. To me that was just one of the roles he played on a Seattle comedy show called Almost Live.

Never heard of the guy until a few years ago, I guess he is not well known outside of USA. What I understand is that this BSc did a kids show to make kids more enthusiastic about science, which I applaud. And now it seems he is involved in an ideological show, fooling it's audience by attaching a 'science'-label to the show. Sad

No I never cared about him he's a try hard "comic actor", was not that funny on Almost Live, and will do or say anything to get money and fame.

I don't feel betrayed in the least. I never watched his show so his opinion held no weight to me.

At least wrestlers aren't pretentious political hacks pretending to be something their not.

"Shilling for the 'left'?" The only entity to shill for is the one who has your mind believing in the illusory charade of a left-right paradigm as 'real'. Shills are those who promote this contrived 'division'. Include yourself along with Nye, in that group, but recognize the puppet masters are the one's behind the creation and maintenance of the falsely perceived 'divide'.
