If truth is not derived from a logical system, based on admittedly arbitrary axioms, where the system does not create logical contradictions, then the truths derived from this system should be questioned. Feel free to bash post-modernism, but my approach is purely objective.

You're not supposed to care about dead Syrian kids in general you're supposed be emotionally manipulated by the dead kids they talk about on the fake news so that you support a war and "regime change" that will kill far more kids which they won't talk about on the fake news. Propaganda like this isn't intended for logical people who care or don't care, it's intended to control morons who selectively care about people they see dramatic images of.

I care about anyone getting killed. It makes me nuts that people wax poetic about 'oh, the children', but couldn't care less once they turn 18.

When you're a Syrian refugee, even a crowd of 30-40 year old mean can be considered women and children. The men can sign up for free stuff in Germany and Sweden as teenagers, because believing them is progressive.
