http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey 0.87% of steam users are using linux.
I think I remember gabe or someone saying that it will be really viable once it hits 1% of users. Hopefully all the steam boxes will tip it over. I can't wait until the majority of AAA games are on linux. It's going to happen.

Well, I used to play Gmod when it was fun. If mods like spacebuild worked again I'd play again. The game is shit right now, you can only play prophunter and it's fun only for a while imho.
I get all the hate against him, but if developing for linux is adding development time and cost (which, let's be fair, might not be worth it because of the small user base), I understand stopping support for it.
Developing for multiple platforms can be more difficult and costly if you're incompetent and chose stupid technologies, both of which plagued Rust.

I like Rust a lot, I stopped playing because it was broken and now I just read the changelogs, I'm waiting for it to become more stable before reinstalling it (slow internet and all that shit)

Well he isn't wrong in the gaming category. AAA's are the one's that drive gaming, and until there is major support and a proven benefit gaming on linux is a pipedream.
