They do have serious mental disorders. The same ones that addicts have. They have to make up stories, lie and claim no responsibility so that they can be left to their addictions. When they cannot afford them, they make up another story (which is where the "oh poor me, I'm a victim" comes in) to get people to feel bad for them and/or give them money. It isn't PTSD, it is straight up addiction and the lies that come with it.

My SIL was pulled into an alley in Chicago and violently raped. I have never heard her claim she has PTSD.
So. Let's see. Someone calling you a porker causes you to have have PTSD. . . totally diminishing the experiences of our veterans and sufferers of actual abuse. Fucking pigs, man.
Also, it's like when they liken obesity to cancer. Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you. I honestly fucking hate them.

They don't have a clue what PTSD is really like. You have to live the shit nightmares are made of. They have no idea how the slightest thing sets it off, a word, a smell, a noise, and poof you're there again, feeling it again, seeing it, living it, over and over and over again. I would not wish this on anyone. I don't mention it if I don't have to but piggies reeeing they have it just gets me so pissed. Walk a mile in my shoes you fat fuck and see what real PTSD is and see what real nightmares look like.

In the oppression olympics of modern culture, victims - not achievers - are celebrated. If fats can claim to be victims, then they "win".
So, they are victims of diet culture. Of fat shaming. Of the industrial food complex. Of society. Of their parents. Of a random stranger on the street. Of a commercial showing a weight loss product. Of this, that, and everything.
They are victims of everything EXCEPT their continuing and ongoing choice to shove food down their own throats. If they admitted that their own choices caused their own obesity, the victim narrative goes away, and they "lose".
Can't have that, so they claim PTSD over someone frowning at them 10 years ago, and then they have no choice but to wallow in donuts. They're victims, see? That frown caused a lifetime of poor self-image, which is constantly reinforced every time they see a fit person. Seeing fit gives them flashbacks to the frown, and triggers the coping behaviour of stuffing their face. They can't help it, they are a victim, show compassion!
Yes, they really are that stupid. What's the way around it? Tell them, constantly and always, that they are NOT victims, and that their own choices made them fat. Destroy the victim narrative everywhere you see it.

because it alleviates responsibility.

They need a excuse or 'condishun' so they don't have to put any effort into anything.
Also, like Phillyshitlord said, attention.
[–] Phillyshitlord 0 points 17 points 17 points (+17|-0) ago
Short answer....they see the attention actual victims get and they want some of that so they pretend.
[–] wellendowedduckling 0 points 6 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago
they also want to blame anyone but themselves
[–] AnarchoCapsLock 0 points 6 points 6 points (+6|-0) ago
Exactly this, being the victim removes the burden of personal responsibility and addicts are all the same.
