The only difference between Reddit and Voat is that Reddit allows Muslim bashing but censors anything critical of Jews or Israel. You should expect certain hot topics to have polarizing opinions - some even downright ugly and hateful. But at least Voat doesn't unfairly censor one side of the argument like Reddit does.

Don't think of voat as a single community either. It's a platform for people to post and share content.
The only difference between voat and reddit is that voat is heavily focused on not curating content whereas reddit is focused on building corporate relationships (at the expense of some content) in order to encourage different high quality pseudo 'sponsored' content. Or like they call it on YouTube, collaborations. It's how online marketing works these days.
But because of that it limits reddit's ability to be a free and open platform for content sharing, and voat has no such restriction, which makes it great.
That's the cost of freedom. You have things you will encounter that you disagree with. It's unrealistic to expect everyone to please your tastes. You can go back to reddit, but it is a bubble of ignorance. Pretending something doesn't exist does not change the fact that is exists. If you truly want to abolish hatred you have to confront it head on.

Ironic that you lay a sweeping generalization on Voat that you claim lays sweeping generalizations on Reddit.
Do what you will, but perhaps you should calm your rhetoric when you speak the same language you claim to chastise.

Free Speech - means the right to say whatever the fuck you want!
The whole idea behind Voat is to provide "as much free speech" as they can legally get away with....as was Reddit for a long time!
Having made both those statements, I say this: "Don't keep abandoning sites on the internet cause you read something you don't like". If you continue to do that you will run out of places to visit on the interwebs. I suggest you instead, learn to ignore or filter then content to make it more view-able to you.
