The whole situation is a mess. Deportation is just a round trip through a revolving door. Prosecution feeds the prison industrial monstrosity more taxpayer money, something it is already leeching at a brutal rate. It's necessary in some, many cases, but ultimately it's not a fix for the problem - the real cancer, the employers who eagerly seek illegal aliens to exploit as an underpaid and benefit free labor force need to be dealt with, with the same zeal the illegal aliens themselves must be dealt with, if one really wishes to address the situation.

So, wait, when I pay federal taxes I'll be paying for a two-year supply (at minimum) of food, clothes, and shelter for people who shouldn't even be here in the first place?

Gee thanks! So the wall isn't going to be literally a wall, our already overcrowded prisons will be stuffed with even more bodies, and the alphabet agencies responsible for the mess still won't be held accountable. (I'm sure you thieving cocksuckers will want to build more billion dollar prisons too, just to house all these people)

Feels like Obama all over again.

Things don't flip a switch and get a hundred percent better, it happens in stages. Initially there will be a decrease in spending on welfare for those removed from the country, as well as those we remove from the prison system. I'm sure, as long as America's really put first, there will be adjustments made to continue to decrease the burden on our system.

it will happen in stages

Translation: American tax dollars will be lining the pockets of more politicians, the prison system will still be fucked, and it will all be more expensive than what wr were doing before.

You must be young, was this your first time voting?

Was there any point to that practice? Seems like ICE was going in circles under Obama. Oh wait...

Probably because the alternative is we, the fucking taxpayer, pay to hold the trial, pay for the public defender to argue with the AG, then the jailing, then the for the sentencing hearing, then for two years minimum of federal prison.

Sure seems like the cheaper option.

Hell, no trial, just arrest, trucked back across the border and kicked out.

Funny how when a thing starts working properly that you realize how long you put up with gimped performance, and how gimped that performance actually was.

I get the feeling this won't be the last example of this phenomenon regarding Obama-gimped government processes.

Don't jail them here. Jail time in the US is considered a godsend to people living in that shithole. Catch and deport immediately, preferably using a catapult and no bubble wrap.

Illegals don't get due-process.

If you don't imprison them here then what the fuck is the point in paying for a trial? Mexico sure as fuck can't afford to imprison them.

Illegals actually do get do process. This has been established quite a Supreme Court cases since the mid-1800s, and has been reaffirmed by the courts each time it is relevant to a case. You can't prove that someone is here illegally without due process.

Make them repay the US taxpayers for court time and manpower wasted. Cant pay? Labor camp time, for a minimum of 5 years. Institute this rule and watch how all the illegals flee the fuck outta here within a month.

So... This actually happened to me... A guy named Jose in Oregon used my ssn to get a job, pay about $1000 into my social security, opened two credit cards, and paid them off, and turn on electricity, and never miss a payment...

This is not normal. But Jose from Oregon, thanks man.

ICE isn't going to be staffed with fishers of men any longer.
