That's what happens when you decide to bring politics into your buisness. Just stfu and sell your products, it's that simple. No matter which way you lean your going to upset one side and lose customers.

Did the CEO really think this was going to boost the Target name and come out on top? SJWs have proven time and time again that they support you when it's convenient and then forget about you for some other problem.

Yep. There's no money in it. It doesn't win you elections, it doesn't increase sales (it does the opposite, actually), and it doesn't even buy you positive PR. That's why I think it's going to die out soon. Won't be long before the big media conglomerates decide that it's time to kill it off to appease their advertisers. As with most cultural trends, SJW shit was pushed onto the masses via a board room in a skyscraper somewhere and will be killed off via a board room in a skyscraper somewhere.

I used to work at Target's headquarters and there is a huge number of gay people that work there. One of the buildings routinely has rainbow lights at the top and many employees have rainbow badges. Not so shockingly, I never really fit in with the culture there. Very PC and lefty. They are losing a lot of customers because of things like this and also pretending to be upscale, which is resulting in a lot of their merchandise being overpriced for their average shopper.

Wasn't the former CEO a fudge packer? I worked at Target years ago and remember that was the case. It was all downhill from that point.

Gotta love that salt at the end.

The difference is Chik Fil A never forced its political opinion on its customers, whereas Target, in typical retarded liberal fashion, marketed the move and forced its customers to accept it or leave.

They left. Remind me again who the real fascists are.

SJW bullshit is finally hitting companies' bottom lines. Won't be long until the MSM and late night comedians, per their corporate overlords, start making fun of it and signaling to the rest of America that it's okay to ignore and sweep it into the dust bin of history.

Target stores have had a noticeable decline in quality over the last few years, imho. So it's more than the tranny bathroom stuff.

JFK put a man on the moon and Obama put a man in the girls bathroom

And people have the nerve to hate on comments sections.

It started with Target Canada, really. Completely mismanaged in just about every conceivable way. I remember emailing their PR department looking for employment opportunities, and then had to respond back and tell them how sorry I felt three hours later because I heard the whole Canadian branch was closing.

Can't say I'm surprised that someone approved a public policy/statement behind the CEO's back.

*Chik-fil-A trollface*

Target CEO Brian Cornell never approved the post and found out about it only after it was published, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Bullshit. It's just time to throw someone under the bus, and Cornell's lawyers helped him find the most politically correct way to do it. "We shouldn't have flaunted this policy we're totally keeping, but it isn't my fault!"
