It shouldn't cost that much.

It's super unpopular with us southern white folk to remove them, especially the Lee statue in Lee square

Edit: there will probably be ramifications such as loss of future contracts

The artist would probably find that pretty hilarious. Artists don't think the same way as others, they tend to be perfectionistic and are happy to burn months of work, as a matter of course. Especially in this case, having made $$$ off of working for the establishment, it probably felt like redemption.

The fag wants to remove it because of a very small minority of libtards, well the rest of us say just leave it, also did he realize that he's taking money away from "Dem programs"

How is this different from ISIS destroying statues and historical buildings or Mao destroying all but one (Yonghegong) Buddhist temples in Beijing?

It's pretty much exactly the same. Worse in a way, in that this is supposed to be a government of and for the people.

That's a pretty interesting comparison. Extreme yes, but not out of the realms of debate.

General Lee wasn't even some bad guy by today's standards. He didn't have any slaves, and indications show he really only led the confederate forces because his state wanted him to

That and he cared more about his home state as compared to his country.
