How could anyone at that boardroom table have possibly thought this was a good idea? This must've been some kind of corporate decision that forced them to do it.

Girls don't like comic books. There might be a few here and there, but by and large it's about 95% man. In fact men don't like comic books! I know that there might be a subculture that's into it but it's certainly not mainstream.

Race has absolutely zero to do with this. This was just a stupid move. It's almost as if they were in an office and thought "let's make a muscle car directly aimed at women!"

Read the whole article. The sales are a disaster but the SJWs want to double down.

Later reaching out to clarify his comments, Gabriel noted that Marvel has no intention of abandoning many of its more recent titles and heroes. He explained, “contrary to what some said about characters ‘not working,’ the sticking factor and popularity for a majority of these new titles and characters like Squirrel Girl, Ms. Marvel, the Mighty Thor, Spider-Gwen, Miles Morales, and Moon Girl, continue to prove that our fans and retailers ARE excited about these new heroes. And let me be clear, our new heroes are not going anywhere!

Fans Seem Uninterested in Diversity or Female Characters

Remember the last time they made this claim, with Ghostbusters? "Our audience just hates having women leads!" is a coverup for the real reason fans don't like it: lazy shit writing. "The power of pain compels you!" and we're supposed to think this is good dialogue and well-written characters?

They didn’t want female characters out there.

Yeah, how about make new characters if you want female characters. Nobody wants their favorite superhero turned into a twat.

If they want nigger super-heroes then they need to be reasonable about it: perhaps start with a sheboon who's "super power" is being literate and not obese.

Naw. I can see a sheboon superhero whose super power is shoplifting from WalMart and eating fried chicken. That would be realistic.
