The dealer does not win ties. All pushes result in you keeping you original bet. BJ is in the dealer's favor because you go first. If you bust, you lose your bet. If everyone busts, the dealer doesn't even bother drawing cards.

Because the player plays first play first, so if you go bust the house doesn't need to take the chance of going bust (they auto-win).

They have higher odds as they go last, and one of their cards are hidden. Meaning you are working with half the information and they are working with all of the information.

You are likely to presume they have better cards than they do, and potentially bust.
