When I was a kid, my swim coach was a tiny 70+ year old lady who was all sinew. She'd also won a bronze medal at the commonwealth games in her competitive days. What has happened to this world?

Right? When I was learning to swim in my youth, my coach was a very slim woman that couldn't have been older than 30.

Jesus H, smh...Fat "coaches" are the equivalent of drunk driving instructors, or hiring using/high as fuck crackheads or tweakers as drug counselors. I just can't fathom why most of my fellow citizens can't see that >_<

Just because she floats on water for being nearly pure fat does not mean she knows how to actually swim.

It's easy to tread water when you have your own built in inner tube and water wings.

Don't the swim instructors get in the pool with the kids anymore? They did when my kids went. It looks lazy as hell.

Oh she does get in the water, it just wasn't her day when I took the pic. My kid is not even 3 yet so there's not much "learning" to swim it's mostly just getting comfortable in the water. If she likes it going forward I'll definitely get a real instructor.

She's been told to not get in the pool anymore as they lose too much water everytime she gets in
