Except it's not that simple (I'm not the person you replied to)... You don't have to actively seek or even personally see something nowadays. The moment someone sees it (for example, there is a screenshot of an ISIS video in the article... Clearly someone had to be watching the fucking video to get the screenshot.) it's all over the internet and it no longer involves just a personal experience but a mob-mentality. This works for both sides.
