My girlfriend is staying with me for the summer break (she's an elementary school teacher and we're in a LDR), and we set ourselves a goal that we'd go through the Kama Sutra cover to cover by the time she leaves.
It arrived in the mail today.

We like to work out together! It's fun and it's healthy. It boosts our libido too.

Sure! It can be everything from picking up biking to hiking to weightlifting. We try to stay active and set goals, and cheer each other on to reach those goals.

Brewing beer takes commitment, time, and learning. It's not too big of a deal, but it's more self improving than video games or sex all day.

You will learn a lot once you start brewing your own beer. It can be as simple or as complex as you want to make it.
You will learn about chemistry as you attempt to master the chemical reactions that occur in your wort. Microbiology as you learn more about that interesting creature 'the yeast cell' Engineering as you try to build your own brew kettle, brew stand, kegerator, etc. Gardening if you want to grow your own hops. Most importantly you will learn the integral part beer has played in the formation of civilization.

Mario Kart. That will be a great crucible to test the strength of your relationship.
