My fiancé and I love dancing - swing, salsa, hustle. However I would say our main hobby is board games. There is a whole world out there of strategy and luck games beyond your more well-known Risk or Settlers of Catan. It's great because we can enjoy our two-player games but we've also reached out and made friends with a whole new group of people to get some bigger games going. We also enjoy working out together and the occasional rock climbing.

Brewing beer takes commitment, time, and learning. It's not too big of a deal, but it's more self improving than video games or sex all day.

You will learn a lot once you start brewing your own beer. It can be as simple or as complex as you want to make it.
You will learn about chemistry as you attempt to master the chemical reactions that occur in your wort. Microbiology as you learn more about that interesting creature 'the yeast cell' Engineering as you try to build your own brew kettle, brew stand, kegerator, etc. Gardening if you want to grow your own hops. Most importantly you will learn the integral part beer has played in the formation of civilization.

My girlfriend and I are getting into loose leaf tea. The preparation and choosing and enjoying are all things that can be done together.

Running. It is great way to get in shape together, and you can support each other. We went from no running to running a half marathon together, and it was so much fun!

Cooking.
Some of the best dates I've been on are cooking dates. Its cheaper, delicious, and in physically closer to the bedroom.
