Are you a Marxist?

I don't support him, but don't outright reject him. It's more apathy than anything. Kind of disgusting how little people I can find that can't find a middle ground.

I don't support Trump. I think that, while his policies are decent (as good as we are going to get at this point, anyway), he's a fucking clown and disgrace to the office. He's immature, too mouthy, and his ego is astonishing.
Still far better than Clinton, though.

When I found out Donald Trump was running for president, I was intrigued. A non-politician running for office? The idea thrilled me. I had heard some of his views before in other settings, and was actually rather excited.
And then I watched the debates. And his rallies. And I was quickly unimpressed, mildly disgusted, and otherwise just irritated.
Donald Trump didn't used to have these views. He was clearly pandering to the alt right type crowd. He was more reality tv to me and less serious about politics. Anything he could use to trigger people he did. Personally, I find great delight in triggers, and people who use them, but it was obvious to me he did what he had to do to win.
In debates, when he was asked a question, he would dance around it, either attacking the opposing party or leading it back to the same buzz phrases he repeated over and over again. And his views and stances on things had changed. He used to be much more socially liberal, but in his later years, whether due to age or the desire to win, he had changed his stances on things like gay marriage.
It seemed obvious to me that he was an actor, an entertainer. What do actors do for a living? They lie. No different than politicians, except that lying as an actor is acceptable because it's for entertainment purposes. I did not then and don't now feel like he takes the issues we have in this country very seriously. He either doesn't realize, or doesn't care that he represents our country now. He's still living in reality TV land, and I am genuinely surprised more people don't see it.
When he won, I decided I would give him a real shot, but he's just bumbling through everything.
For the record, I like Donald Trump as a person. His locker room talk made me laugh out loud, and I do find him very entertaining. I just don't believe he is fit to be president. I don't believe that his presidency will destroy our country, or that his existence in that position will mean Armageddon. I am skeptical anyway about the presidency and how drastic (or minuscule) it actually is on our country.
I have a severe dislike for the Clintons, and the more I research them, the more my dislike for them grows.
I thought about Gary Johnson, but his lack of awareness of foreign affairs concerned me. In the end, I voted Stein, despite my fundamental disagreements with the Green Party's views. I dislike a lot of their stances, but the issues she spoke most about were issues that resonated with me and were most important to me, so that was the direction I ended up going.

Voat is fucking awesome regardless who you support politically.

Ya gotta admit... if you actually listen to him speak, instead of whatever trash CNN, Hollywood, and Pelosi spew out, Trump is more populist than the democratic party, and most of his policies lean libertarian. 1. Trump is keeping Obama's core policy in place when he guts Obamacare; no denied coverage for priesting conditions 2. Obama asked for 850 billion in infrastructure spending, Trump wants 1 trillion 3. Trump is cutting regulations and threatening to tariff imports, very libertarian policies 4. Trump has invited more black people to the white house in a month than Obama in 8 years, very liberal
Most "non-Trump" supporters don't like him because he said "pussy" on a tape ten years ago, or that he's a rich white dude

I have no issue with the fact that he's a rich white dude, or the fact that he said pussy (I personally found the comment hilarious). My issue with him is precisely that I did listen to him speak. He doesn't actually say anything except for the same five buzz phrases over and over again. It blows my mind that people aren't seeing that.
But honestly, I simply don't care about it. The election is over and Donald Trump is president, and life will go on. Why people are freaking out like it's the end of the world is beyond me.
