IDK about that, but she really is one of the best features of the movie. The puppets/animatronics are awesome too though. It's also worth noting the late Dan O'Bannon worked on this film, as well as Dark Star (1974), Alien (1979), Return of the Living Dead (1985), and Total Recall (1990).

To be honset I can't believe I'm just finding out about it. This kind of movie is right up my alley.

It is loosely based on Space Vampires by Colin Wilson. When my friend and I watched it on Betamax tape, he said it was the dumbest thing he ever saw. To this day, I don't understand why anyone wouldn't like it, though I admit it's far from mainstream fare.
