We forget that British Columbia used to be claimed by both the Spanish and British. There's shitloads of Spanish names up there and in Washington as well.
I live near a town that is proud of its Norwegian heritage. I would no sooner deny what are essentially ethnic Texans (whose families have been in the United States longer than my neighbors) their heritage any more than I would bulldoze the Sons of Norway building.
I get it. Build the fucking wall. Mexicans are fucking Mexicans, and they need to Make Mexico Great Again. But Texans are Americans. Just because the left says we can't tell the difference doesn't mean we have to prove them right.

I have no idea what your point is

His point is, we can go to San Antonio and not get offended.
We can realize it's an American city with a Mexican-Spanish history. We can respect that and want a wall simultaneously.
I'm from Texas and I see it this way. My issue is, and I wish it wasn't so; Mexicans have nothing to be proud of. Their culture is shit. Its not that old of a heritage, them being a 1600 AD mix of Indians and Spaniards. So, its extremely annoying to me when they're proud of their heritage. What heritage? Even good Mexican food, is Tex-Mex. As in, an American twist on their food preferences. Their heritage is eating spicy food and having lots of babies.
There revolution was a joke.
They wouldn't even be a country after the American-Mexican war, except that we literally didn't want the desert full of poverty.
At least blacks overcame something.
Endrant, but yeah let them keep their beaner city names. All those places suck anyways.

Just change the pronunciation. "Rio (as in r-eye-oh) Grande (as in grand-ey)
Native Texan here, I grew up with Mexicans whose families came to the US legally. They worked hard as hell, respected the law of the land, raised their kids to be good citizens and people. Every good Mexican I knew hated illegals more than I did, they basically negated everything they worked hard for.
Those legal Mexicans I know wouldn't give a flipping shit about what name is where, they just wanna work and have a safe environment to raise their families.

Texan native. I don't ever see that.
Love the fellas that work hard, but they seem just as entitled. Always, by second generation, they want welfare.
Roger that, I grew up in a very small area, population around 2,500 or so. My best friend's parents nationalized legally, and both worked two jobs. They had three kids, two sons and one girl. The boys both went onto pursue college which they paid for, one became a petroleum engineer, the other is a physical therapy tech, and the girl married a Marine and I think she stays at home with the little ones.
From what I understand, none of them have ever received any sort of state or federal sponsored assistance, and all three have strong moral character which was instilled from a very early age.
This of course could be the exception to the rule, but it's what I base my understanding off of regarding legal immigrants versus illegal cheats.

And obama and his anti-americans goons thought it was good enough!! So we can pitch the idea as an effective one to the mentally ill left.
