In spite of their idiocy, I still have an amount of sympathy for them. After all, they were trying to be good humanbeings. But this is something these people don't understand until they run into trouble: a troubled situation does not indicate someone's morality. They're refugees. So what? It says nothing about who they really are.

I'm not white, but I can see myself getting into a situation like this, trying to "save" people. You can't "save" people, because you can't control them. You can save lower mammals. Do that instead. I'm terribly sad for the 8 children this couple selfishly and irresponsibly put in mortal peril. They had no right to do that, and are damn lucky nobody was killed. : (
