In spite of their idiocy, I still have an amount of sympathy for them. After all, they were trying to be good humanbeings. But this is something these people don't understand until they run into trouble: a troubled situation does not indicate someone's morality. They're refugees. So what? It says nothing about who they really are.

Empathy should be reserved for you and yours, this man is an example we can all learn from.

I'm not white, but I can see myself getting into a situation like this, trying to "save" people. You can't "save" people, because you can't control them. You can save lower mammals. Do that instead. I'm terribly sad for the 8 children this couple selfishly and irresponsibly put in mortal peril. They had no right to do that, and are damn lucky nobody was killed. : (

Nah, I think they've changed their minds about it now. This is how most people are:
They have these ideals, and positive thoughts about humans, and then when shit hits the fan they change their views, realizing the world is not the way they thought. You mostly see this with rich, privileged kids, and young people.

I don't think so...I hope not. I hope they learned the sad lesson.

5 months difference in article writing times. I wonder how long the redpill of "my virtue signalling has endangered the lives of my entire family" set in though.
