It never was.
Up until some where during Clinton's first term I can remember that you could basically trust what you saw on the news or in the paper
Bullshit!
The msm has never been trustable.
they have been lying since the invention of the printing press and probably before.

Clinton is Bill and Hillary is Hillary. member came after Clinton IRC.
I saw the decline start in Bill's second term when the shit really started hitting the fan for him.
News has always been biased but it used to be also aligned to its readership which it no longer is.

It's been this way for YEARS

True. It's gone from biased to out right push paid for agenda in the last year.
Back in the 80's Trump saying that it's fake news would have been met with him being over reacting and probably him trying to push an agenda. These days people are happy somebody is finally calling them out and supportive of his claims.
Ugh.

The fake news only got faker because they had to one up themselves for ratings

Hopefully, Trump might be able to reverse some of the Dem/feminist brain washing in schools.
I also agree on how you gather you news.
But my point is how it's gotten much worded over the years.

This has always been an issue. The free flow of information that is the internet makes the situation more noticeable.

Back then people knew the stance of the paper by the content of its editorials or owner.
The free flow of the internet also has expanded the editorial section to headline status.
