Motherfuckers. Why would they dox anyone? Was her email address critical to the story? I am having trouble thinking of any reason the AP would print someone's private email address.

Of course I know why they did it to her specifically. But my question stands because I wasn't getting at the issue this time. Who she is shouldn't matter to the principle involved. I'd really like them to explain why doxing someone would ever be necessary in an article. It seems like they should have a rule that you simply do not put that type,of personal information in a story (about anyone) unless it was actually required for the story itself.

I agree completely.
There was no journalistic reason for them to publish that. So I think an audit would be fair insofar as what did they stand to gain from doxxing her... and from (((whom))).
