Toss the AP out of press pool meetings until they can learn the meaning of sensitive information.

Just when you think they can't stoop any lower

Motherfuckers. Why would they dox anyone? Was her email address critical to the story? I am having trouble thinking of any reason the AP would print someone's private email address.

Yes... they knew what they were doing.

Of course I know why they did it to her specifically. But my question stands because I wasn't getting at the issue this time. Who she is shouldn't matter to the principle involved. I'd really like them to explain why doxing someone would ever be necessary in an article. It seems like they should have a rule that you simply do not put that type,of personal information in a story (about anyone) unless it was actually required for the story itself.

... I actually don't know. Is it just mere intimidation?

As Instapundit's Glenn Reynolds says, think of them as political operatives with bylines and you won't go far wrong.
