I went on one of those marches last year Many of the police are actually peoples kids going through compulsory military service. No one wants riots and the marchers expressed fear for their childrens safety. It was very calm.

Just made an account after a year of lurking to comment on this. I live in Korea, the cult she is connected to is called 영세교, which means Eternal Life Church, it's a Christian thing that mixes in what seems to be part of the 무당 (shaman) culture that sees the future, talks to dead people, etc. She was partly raised by the leader of the church if I'm not mistaken, since her parents were assassinated when her father was dictator. She has zero connections to pedophilia or the occult. She was kicked out for being corrupt. She bullies corporations to funnel money to her friend from the church, who used it to bribe her daughter through school and buy a house in Germany. This other lady also rewrote the president's speeches and was said to have aided in policy decisions earlier in the term. Don't just make shit up guys, there's enough to criticize in real life.

I believe it has more to do with every male South Korean's (might be women too now, but I dont know.) serves in the military so they are more likely to take action if need be. I still believe that military service should be mandatory in order to gain the power of citizenship. I really liked that concept in starship troopers, it shows that you actually have a stake in how the country is ran, and you've at least been instilled with some mature qualities from your training.

Yes, what a brilliant idea with mandatory military service when basically all countries are run by insane pedophiles that can send you into a war and die for their corrupt schemes. Take 9/11 + Afghanistan as an example, take the fake claims about Saddam Husseins WMD's that lead to the invasion of Iraq, Lybia and Khadaffi.
They control the military from top to bottom, there won't be any revolts and 99% of all soldiers are molded into being order-followers, not independent brilliant thinkers.
The only thing that can unfuck this situation is if people stop paying taxes and form their own massive armed resistance movements to forcibly remove these people, and that won't ever happen because a vast majority are LEMMNGS who follows and like to watch sports and show their latest lunch on Facebook, they are not interested in rocking the boat because it would require a huge sacrifices and loss of comfort, and even death in a lot of cases.
This whole thing isn't a handful of corrupt people, it's a system that is global and has been in place for thousands of years. Those who control it only allow people who play ball to reach the visible top levels of power (which is an illusion, these people are unknowingly/knowingly PAWNS)
This isn't a movie, it's a situation where 99,9% of us are slaves while thinking that we are free and being unable to see the chains and prison due to ignorance, so I'd rather not be forced into being an expendable warrior-pawn under the command of these fucking people.

the fact that the idea came from a movie is somehow meant to discredit it? The people in that system were not forced to go into the military, they were given benefits for their service, such as the right to vote. It was not given simply because you were born into a country. I would think that other benefits would be things like welfare. I could see that actually helping with our immigration issues actually, you first must serve the country before the country serves you, and this is somehow a bad thing?
