That link didn't work for me but I went on their site... how fucking stupid is this woman? Constant crying, breastfeeding for FOURTEEN HOURS. I call bullshit, I think she fell asleep and suffocated him

That baby defied the odds and survived being hosted in a shitty fucked up body only to be killed off by its stupidity.

"b-b-but muh fat doesn't affect anyone but muhself"
I don't know whether to feel sad for the baby, or glad that it will never grow up infected by fat.

Dumb fat bitch. I don't have any kids and I even know give a kid a bottle if they are crying. Formula? You are meaning to tell me this thing was so lazy that it couldn't be bothered to go out and buy formula for her baby? Obviously there is a problem if the baby keeps crying and is losing weight. How dumb can you be? Poor kid having to feed off lard milk from droopy udders. She let her baby starve and did nothing. Fuck this fat bitch. Feel bad for the baby though it should of been taken off of her.

Why waste food money on formula when there is still miniscule amount of breast milk rightttttt that baby's fate was sealed the day the mama became fat

Exactly no mention of the obesity that was almost certainly to blame. I bet it doesn't lose a pound after this either, implying a lesson was learnt. It's disgusting that we let fats breed. They have no business being carers.

As stupid as this woman is, the real issue here is the medical professionals who discharged this baby under these conditions:
By the first 24 hours, he had nursed a total of 9.3 hours, had zero wet diapers and four dirty diapers. By 27 hours, he had lost 4.76%. His nursing sessions became longer and longer until he was on the breast continuously by the second day of life. On the second day, he produced 3 wet diapers and 6 dirty diapers and nursed for almost 14 hours total. By 53 hours of life, he had lost 9.72%.
Come on, what the fuck? You're professionally trained to know a baby losing that much of its body weight right after birth is a serious problem.

Probably a bunch of fats working the maternity ward.

I had a baby 6 weeks ago and EVERY nurse except one was enormous. Not just overweight but seriously obese.
[–] Sylph 0 points 12 points 12 points (+12|-0) ago
Obese mothers are more likely to have problems lactating. Another problem with FA bullshit is that no one bothered to acknowledge this, most likely because they didn't want to offend anyone. Now a baby is dead possibly because doctors didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Obese and pcos? And no one thought to check her milk supply? So many fucking failures in this story. Ugh.

This doesn't make sense. According to everything I've read the diaper output was pretty normal. The weight loss was a bit much. Baby should have been kept in the hospital for evaluation untill the weight loss stopped and was reversed. But baby's nursing and diapers seemed just fine. I wonder if something else was going on here. My babies have all acted the same and produced similar diaper counts. The only real difference in baby behavior is that their weight loss was minimal and all 3 of them re-gained their birth weight very fast. My milk has come in at the 48 hour mark all 3 times. I also had an oversupply.
I wonder if she is lying about diaper output. But that said, with such a weight loss the first 2 days, that baby shouldn't have left the hospital. Even my home birth midwife made a home visit on day 2 to weigh my baby. Lethargy and other signs of dehydration should have presented in her baby. Her baby would have probably had dry lips and skin. He would have had a more dry mouth. That baby wasn't doing well from the start and should have been evaluated further.

Yeah. Same. It makes me so incredibly sad to think about babies dying. But as a parent, if I think something is wrong I will do something. I won't just sit on my hands if I'm feeling worried. I would guess this baby had some digestive issue that went undiagnosed because it was discharged before being fully evaluated. Maybe the breastmilk never came in too. But over 9% loss in less than 2 days is a huge red flag. At the absolute least that baby should have had a next day follow up with a pediatrician.

Lets be honest she probably went home and fell asleep on him.
