There are likely investigations that are ongoing. However compared to what happened with the Catholic Church and the satanic panic is that lots of innocent people got caught in the crossfire. Financial incentives created false allegations against the Church that lead to a lot of easy payouts for people who weren't actually victims. Extreme bias in the religious right lead people to listen and believe anyone or anything that supported the narrative of an underground satanic network of child abusers. Even higher ups in the FBI fell prey to the bias in their ranks investigating cases of satanic ritual abuse leading to an all out witch hunt of innocent people. The real problem now is even without the bias an investigation would have to go off of weird hints of pedophiles secret virtue signalling, be it symbols, statements, or otherwise. Without victims coming forward and some hard irrefutable evidence it's nearly impossible to pin anything on anyone. Factor this in with how deeply insidious advanced child grooming could be makes everything that much more difficult. The sad fact is that these super predators have victims that are so embedded in their culture making the very idea of speaking up heresy. Their harem of kids are more likely to lash out at people trying to help them than anything else for a great number of reasons. First is that sex of any kind brings pleasure to them, they are groomed to not only think it's normal but part of their identity. If you were to dig into this I'm certain there would be a lot of opposition from the abused because they would believe your attacking them and taking away their source of pleasure. The second would be their own power play. My experience with abuse cases all had the same recurring theme of how much power the child gained over their abuser. It sounds kinda fucked up but listen to me. These kids probably believe they have the adults at their mercy and not the other way around. The third part ties into the second where the abused get great privilege from the adults. Layered like the toppings on a pizza. Money, drugs, gifts, access to stardom, a life they couldn't normally live being just a regular kid. They would sooner slit their wrists than lose out on these privileges most parents would never give their own children, to them the reward is far to great to risk for some outsiders morality. The forth is their social status, familial relations, friends, future relationships, etc. These all get taken away if they speak up about what's happening. They are just as motivated if not more so than their abusers to go public because of the damage it would cause to those around them. The fifth would be the fear that when or if they ever came out about what was going on that would make them guilty because they got off on it too. It takes us a lot of work to handle abuse cases just because of how sexualized and assertive the victims were, once groomed they're just as addicted to he encounters as the abusers are. Many never truly getting over it. The sixth being that just about everyone else in their immediate circle has a lot to loose if the abuse comes to light! Mothers don't want to get caught being a bad parent because they let their child get abused. The fear of not having those socioeconomic advantages granted by the abusers IE the father being the breadwinner can't go to jail or the child being the cash cow and the shame of something being brought to the public eye. Once they let their kids sit down on the casting couch it's just as taboo for them to speak out as it is for the abuser to get caught. You see it in literally all these child actors. Drew Barrymore, Christina Ricci, Carmen Bicondova, Millie Bobby Brown, Cacaulay Culkin, Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez, the olsen twins, and the few who have come out like Elijah Wood, Corey Feldman, Corey Haim, Alison Arngrim, Eva Ionesco, Brooke Shields. They all would rather keep their mouths shut to get an edge over everyone else.
