That's exactly how it feels.. you want to do many things but you are locked up in self inflicted prison of grease. Great advert.

It just seems that there are so many turning points where you go "no life is not supposed to be this way". Can't tie shoes. Change it. Can't fit in human stall. Change it. Sleep apnea. Change it. Can't shop at regular store. Change it. Tired a lot. Change it. ... You get the point. So many opportunities.

Yep replying to my own post. Deal with it. I look at obstacles as opportunities to grow, not an excuse to Reee and lie in my own filth. Maybe that is the difference.

This commercial makes it seem like it's my fault I'm fat, and it can't be my fault! It just can't!

The comment section is gold too - no fat sympathy what so ever lol. Not as extreme as here, but we are the balance to HAES and FA. Germans tell it like it is. We need more!

It’s too bad that commercial can’t get network exposure in the US and Canada. I’d love to hear our pigs reeeeeeeing in outrage. Can you imagine the noise levels that’d be blasting out of the fat faces of Witless Weigh More, Raging Chestpain, Tess Munster and the NAAFA/HAES walruses?

Sadly, no US/Canadian would have the nerve to do a commercial like that and no US/Canadian TV network would ever dare air it.

Unfortunately Edeka is only operating in Germany, Denmark and the Czech Republic, so there wouldn't be any point for them to run the commercial in the US.

It doesn’t matter..... The fat-worshipping, pussy-whipped, money-grubbing, pandering, beta American TV system would NEVER dare to air a commercial that would offend the legions of big-mouthed, pushy, obnoxious fat-ass American women. Don’t forget---we’re the country where morbidly obese deathfat women put on tutus, flop around on stage like walruses, call it “dancing” and then demand respect and love. Fat American women have zero self-awareness and even less shame, and they don’t at all mind being the laughing stock of the entire world.

Fantastic ad, sadly as someone who lives in Germany, obesity is a serious issue here and people tend to be pretty 'PC' about it.

Not nearly as Bad as in freedomland tho.

Ich bin froh, dass ich kein Dicker bin Denn dick sein ist 'ne Quälerei Ich bin froh, dass ich so'n dürrer Hering bin Denn dünn bedeutet frei zu sein

A lot worse than the Netherlands (which is where I'm from) though, although even there the trend is visible, I suppose we're saved by our height in that sense...

Supermarket forced to say:

'We are aware that some people suffer from obesity because of illness, which cannot be solved with a simple diet change.'

Keep believing that you fat sacks of shit, you don't deserve to fly to beautiful freedom.

Yeah. Mental illness.

Is that true though?

Rate in - rate out = rate of accumulation. Accumulation can be negative or positive, and that's as true for an oil refinery as it is for a person's body.

That statement is so false. The delusion is being spread to all corners of the world.

Obesity is always someone's fault. In 99% of cases it is the individual's fault. The 1% of cases where it's not are those in which a person has no control over their choices.

I'm thinking bedbound/paralyzed people who have their food brought to them. Either (A) the person bringing them the food is a pushover and brings anything demanded, or (B) are obese themselves and this is what they eat, so why would the bedbound person not eat that much.

People with Prader Willi who cannot feel full or always feel hungry (I can never remember which). Again, it is the fault of the care takers.

I would also put short term memory loss illnesses in there too.
