I'm an atheist. For all of its current faults science does a better job of explaining our world than any religion.

I feel like most people, when talking about Nihilism, infer, in one way or another, that it has to do with hopelessness or despair. South Park recently comes to mind. Many exposures I've had to it have made me think those speaking about it felt it was a pretty negative thing.
In some ways, I can see how they come off as the devil's advocate every time.
Either way, what's your take on that phenomena, if you've been exposed to it that is.

This is the perfect time to talk about why you want to fuck religion so badly!

Personally I'm an atheist. I think there are quite a lot of atheists or generally irreligious people but due to the conservatism many people seem to be cultural Christians in the sense that they're not the die hard believers but they see religion as a bulwark against perceived degeneracy, moral decline, nihilism etc. Personally I don't share those views and I embrace my atheism and secular thinking.

I am a nihilist, if that counts as a spiritual view. I don't think anything has any inherent value other than that which we assign it.
