Last week, we created 1,000+ #Resist Meetup Groups to act as local hubs for actions on behalf of democracy, equality, human rights, social justice, and sustainability. Already 50,000+ people have joined.
What rights are being taken? Where is the loss of equality?

I just deleted my account. It wasn't good for much anyway.

I don't see any problem with this. If they start banning people, that's a problem.

Who do you complain to when you have a pain in the ass unsubscribe experience? Is it the FTC or what?
I unsubbed a while ago, and they still sent me that shit so I want to file a complaint with the whoever.
edit: GUISE HOW DOES /V/BOYCOTT HAVE ONLY 11 SUBSCRIBERS?? Come on, we all have to pitch in, even a little. Ideal is 0 coffees from Starbucks per week, but if you cut out 1 or 2 per week that still helps.

Are you talking about a mailing list? If so, mark as spam. Now, this might seem like a lazy non-solution but marking as spam hurts them. Otherwise, I'd suggest contacting their newsletter service provider (if they use one), you should be able to figure that out by looking at the unsubscribe link. They can get quite pissed if their customer are acting in a spammy way as that can hurt their non-spammy customers.
Also yes, FTC takes care of CAN-SPAM violations.

Your lawyer could help you file a harassment suit. ;-)

If you pay for it, then sure :P But seriously, 1 message is going to be a hard case for a lawyer. So yeah that'd be cool to sue them but I ultimately think it'd be a waste of money since it's not a high chance of success.
But tbh I'd rather let the federal body do the work. If we all complain then that would have more of an impact than 1 lost court case (not to mention the precedent that could be set)
