Technically, by paying the same price, and then no showing up at the gym/pool, they're paying adequately. (Also all equipment has a fixed footprint, and TBH, whether it's a fat or a shitperson using them, that doesn't change. Power rack occupies the same volume, whether the volume is filled at 20 or 90%.)

but they break all the shit
they hang off everything and slam the bars down

True, but that doesn't account for the non-fat customers that they lose due to wanting to stay away from the fatties. Plus the fact that fatties are more likely to damage gym equipment, and other things that drive up costs.

Are fat trainers a thing?
[–] proteinfordays ago
Surprisingly, yes. Maybe 20% of the trainers employed at my gym are overweight. The best (worst?) part is that I've been going to this gym for over a year, and I see some of them lifting regularly, yet no change over all this time. Despite some nominal muscle definition, how can you possibly train others re physical fitness and health when you clearly have no control over your own eating habits??

Fats rarely show up. I saw a couple ads on Craigslist awhile back, fatsos talking about having had their gym memberships for a year but never having gone, cuz they're too nervous.

They shouldn't pay at all. They shouldn't even show up on those places
It makes everyone else uncomfortable and burn innocent retinas.
[–] ThinPerson 0 points 1 point 1 point (+1|-0) ago
Nah. Only make them pay for an extra seat in a plane. That sort of thing. Don't give them another excuse not to exercise

If fats use the pool, they should have to pay as much as it costs to replace the pool water. It will need to be replaced.
[–] lautrec_of_carim 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago
Don't forget the extra chlorine it would take to disinfect the water.
[–] Carsandsarcasm 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago
It might be safest to just demolish and rebuild the pool.
