I think you're right on the money and well spoken. I had to stop watching movies about a year ago. Even Sunny in Philadelphia isn't that good anymore. Even SUNNY! I recommend old Kubrick films, you can watch them again and again, the man was a genius. Beyond that. RR Martin wrote some pretty cool books.

Alternative explanation: Only brown and black people are dumb enough to still pay for movies, so it pays to make movies for them. Whites, Asians and Jews have figured out how to download and stream them for free.
Well, someone likes these movies (not me) because they seem to be making money. Remember there is a domestic and international market, but 85% are shit IMO. Has anybody thought of purchasing an android TV box. There is a variety of makes and models (cost approx $100). You can watch any movie or TV show (no ads). My brother has one (I don't have money atm).
I agree about commercials. I don't watch live TV, ever. And as for movies, I don't go to theaters, so all I have is on demand. And I haven't watched an on demand video for at least 6 months - there's just nothing I consider worth paying for. They are all "eh, I'll watch it when it's free" type movies.

You know there are multiple sites that stream movies and shows for free? No downloads required.

Sop stories are cheap and have a reliable audience. Given that Hollywood refuses to give a decent budget to anything that isn't a remake, sequel or superhero movie, that they're following a predictable template with the minor things isn't surprising.
