Meh , it is like the 4th migration with the same "my post got deleted" & "transferring mod teams" drama , we will spend another week blocking v/therealaltright , v/altrightwhatever & the likes, then the admins will show up and spank the naughty ones and everything will go back to normal .

I would like to think that the people making the switch are the type that want a platform like this.

Then why didn't they switch sooner? Worse happened over there and they're JUST NOW coming over.

Maybe they didn't know about it until now.

The mass reddit censorship started about a year and a half ago. That's when the older goats first came here.

People coming NOW were apparently fine with all those subs getting banned, Victoria being fired, Ellen Pao being a PC queen, Spez spazzing, and the rampant shadow-banning, etc.

Each influx fucks shit up and degrades the site a fraction more. We're already seeing reddit behavior in full force with this latest migration.

My first feeling when the new guys came a few hours ago was, "FUCK OFF, WE'RE FULL" but I will give this time to sort things out. Hopefully the new members will learn the way of the goat.

I always like your comments and I want to give these newbies some time to adjust to Voat.

I think we need to tell the new guys the story about what happened to @she and other power trip mods.

Thanks! Yes, this kind of reminder is a good idea. The mod who deleted that comment I linked to is getting beaten pretty hard and I thought he'd see the error of his ways but then he went and said he'd continue to delete comments that 'derailed' conversation. The hell!? He will not have a good time here if he keeps that up.

I am still on the fence. They do not seem to have quite the reddit stink as the last one, but ya, the whole bring over the mod culture fuckery needs some ass stomping until we are all wearing shit for boots.

Whatever one thinks of it this place will probably see more and more law enforcement and especially media scrutiny.

That's fine, though. It is a public and free site. I just don't want people refusing to act according to community standards and acting like this is reddit.

Just like with every other migration wave; I'm fine with them as long as they behave.

Every single time, when they show up, they infiltrate the mod teams and start being faggots.

I WANT REDDIT TO LEAVE

Reddit rejects are worse than redditors

Digg actually died, then came back as a curated link-of-the-day type site. I actually visit there more now then I did when it was the proto-reddit, not gonna lie.

Also, the overwhelming majority of us came in from reddit at some point.
