Since Climate Change is not a 'disease' the CDC should have nothing to do with it.

True, but if the climate continues to get warmer, it will lead to an increase in disease in regions that used to be much cooler. It's also worrying they felt they had to cancel this talk just to stay on the new administration's good side.
