The big shift was at the end of Season 5. Creator/writer/producer had a 3 season arc, and then a 5 season arc mapped out. And I know he poached some of the other writers for other projects as time went on. Supernatural taught me that it is okay to drop a show when it gets bad. I watched the show long enough to see them retcon their own lore, and have been told some of it may be fixed, but I seriously doubt that.

But an open question, does anyone know if they finally fixed the music for at least the first season on netflix? I know due to streaming rights, blue oyster cult was cut. And that hurt, because that was literally the scene that sold me on the show.

Series 9 and 10 were a poor shadow of the first few seasons. For this reason, I didn't watch Series 11 until it had been on Netflix for some months. When I finally did start watching, it was like getting a shot of adrenaline. The action was great, and the show was no longer centered around Crowley. Unfortunately, the show began presenting miscegenation and homosexuality in a positive light, as well as injecting increasing numbers of Third World cast members. For years now, I would see a good program come on (such as "Supernatural"), only to be infiltrated over time with an increasing number of negro characters. Now, I'm seeing a rapidly increasing number of positive depictions and references to homosexuality. The scum writing these scripts are representative of the kind of "people" fighting so hard against Trump and the Deplorables.
