Wow, published in 2009! I assumed a children's book like this would've had to have been published decades ago, before people were so oversensitive.

This book is for kids ... how are you getting so offended over a light hearted kid story? You're complaining about plot lines, quality of humour, and anthropomorphising for a story that's for 4-7 year olds. Did you run out of other things to be offended by or something?

My 600-lb life isn't getting the message through their thick skulls, so they had to turn it into a children's book complete with illustrations.

"shown living in squalor and wearing stereotypical lower-class clothing" Aren't they always complaining their being fat is caused by living in poor neighborhoods and being oppressed all the time and having to work countless shifts without time to cook only to end up at hamdonald's???
