If I ever find a frugal woman, I'm holding on for dear life. Sucks being with someone whos financially rowing the opposite direction as you.

Weed out the label whores to increase your odds. It's easy to dress well without everything having to be super expensive. If she gets off on finding deals and sales, she may be a keeper.

Oh she knows how to find a sale.. a little too well. Unfortunately its for all the brand name stuff!

I'm a victim of the area here. Everyone here is materialistic and want to keep with the Joneses. Friend of mine years ago was afraid to tell me he bought a condo as he was afraid I would be jealous and stop talking to him. Its that bad. Told him I'm happy as hell for him. I guess I grew up in a different household where value & longevity was more important than brands.

Where does money slip away in your home? A few months ago I looked at our bank statements and was surprised by how much money was leaking out in restaurants. My husband and I sat down and discussed what to do differently and came up with a solution. He wouldn't eat at the cafeteria at work anymore (super expensive) and together we'll only indulge in food outside the home once a week. Other than occasionally forgetting his lunch at home, we've stayed on track. Would love to here about your budget success stories.

One great resource for seeing where your cash is going is mint.Com. It's by the guys who do TurboTax. It links up with your web banking and downloads your statements, and gives you visualizations of where your money is going.
