Yeah, she may be a naturalized Froggie-American (Pepette?) but still we got the bigger, better one. The one by the Pont de Grenelle in Paris is dinky by comparison.

Damn proud because without them we wouldn't exist and without us they wouldn't either. Our two nations are inexorably linked.

Lady Liberty is a white woman for the precise reason that she represents enlightened eurpoean values, which only come from white people. Any attempt to co-opt her image is a treasonous repudiation of civilization.

They are not appropriating; they are erasing. The enlightenment values that descend from euopean history are from one source only, the white civilization.

Fair enough, let me ask this though: wouldn't that mean whites couldn't portray themselves in native americans with their feather headdresses?
[–] Foralltoosee 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
Keep in mind that in this example, publicly funded forces would select to dress a White person up as a native and then say that it is an appropriate representation of native peoples, and suggest others use it as well. Don't think you're going to see that anywhere.

The word "couldn't" is an odd choice. It suffices that the symbol falls flat when divorced from the ethnicity it is born of.
White people will never have the proper appreciation of the barbaric shamanism of the native american tribes. Not because white people never had barbaric shamanism, but because they had a different kind.

Not on Indian currency. They wouldn't allow it.

Pure SJW bullshit. They could have picked a historically relevant person, or at least a pretty one, but they just put a random black woman on there with cornrows and big lips to drive the point home.
At least the Sacajawea coin was artistic. This is just pandering. It will not sell well.

The Sacagawea coin was/is an ugly piece of shit. That coin pissed me off to no end because they had a choice that would have been much more beautiful and still of the same subject. I cannot find any images of it now, but I remember seeing the finalists when they were still having the design competition for it. There was one which had a really pretty woman in profile looking up as though in pride and with inspiration. It fit well with some of the best of our beautiful historical coins. Instead they went with an ugly fat looking bitch with a baby on her back looking over her shoulder at us. Wtf is that shit?

I remember the concept art too, there were much better versions. At least they used a historical figure. If only they were smart enough to make it a differnt size than a quarter...
[–] DependasaurusRex 0 points 3 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago
I think that is their aim so that they can claim racism again with the coin not selling.

You are probably right. There is nothing more the left enjoys than a reason to whine.

really should be a 300 pound beast with 7 father-less children standing outside section 8 housing

I think every time they swap races with established characters or historic people, they are really just saying they couldn't find any noteworthy people who aren't white.
