I always check, on voat I rarely find anyone being silenced that shouldn't be.

However on reddit you can almost always find people being silenced. Well you used to now those comments get deleted.

Sometimes I'm curious what could earn someone double digit beat downs. More often than not its warranted and I pile on.

on reddit the heavily downvoted comments were always the intelligent ones, so i check hidden almost reflexively

i hate seeing someone spouting truth only to receive a total of 1 downvoat from a shill.

talking about adding security measures against shills gets a lot of downvoats

Only if I want to follow the discussion that is occuring. Usually the person being silenced deserves it and I'd probably add to the downvotes if I had the CCP

I learned to reconfigure my preferences to see downvoted comments on Digg and Reddit a long time ago. If I look at comments and its something controversial I always do this.

On reddit look for the word preferences in bold face on the upper right hand side:

https://www.reddit.com/prefs/

I haven't been on digg for years now, but there was a similar option there too.
