That's bullshit and we both know it. There are plenty of games which disprove this theory. Ark Survival Evolved. Elite: Dangerous. Subnautica. Witcher 3. Skyrim. This notion that PC games must take full advantage of a PC is hilariously wrong in 99.9% of cases. The fact that I can run every AAA title on the planet using an 8 year old PC CPU proves this. The "hardware constraints" you speak of are largely imaginary.

That's just naming a few titles too, there are many more one could point to. PC games HAVE to be designed to work on a range of hardware because not all PCs have the same capabilities. If you want to sell your game on the PC platform successfully you can't design only for the top 1% of gaming systems and give everyone else the finger because you'll ultimately fail.

On the topic of peripherals, all modern consoles (with the possible exception of Nintendo's stuff) support keyboards and could be used inside a game if a dev felt compelled to add support. The PS3 even included mouse support which worked pretty well. I've played Unreal Tournament on one with a mouse and keyboard and it's virtually indistinguishable from how it is on a PC. So yeah, we know you "know", but don't sit there and try to tell us that it's an insurmountable problem with no solutions that stops things from happening.

You literally didn't even read my comment. Thanks for proving that you just want to be a whiny douche and not have a conversation.

I literally did read your comment, it's basically saying "the problem is that the platform has hardware constraints and nobody uses keyboard or mouse support (when provided)".

The hardware problems in terms of machine power are imaginary. The lack of keyboard and (when available) mouse support can be blamed on game developers. Unless it's some high end sim if it wasn't ported it was because the developer couldn't be bothered to do it.

The bottom line is that PC exclusives are not "prevented" from being ported in the vast majority of cases.
