Anyone who references Andrea Dworkin in their username probably is.

Am I crazy for being a little bit skeptical of the claim? It feels a bit like when someone like Al Qaeda claims responsibility for all acts of terrorism regardless if they actually carried it out.

And what's their end game? I really don't get what difference it makes to anyone on Reddit that people left to go to Voat. You'd think these miserable fucks would be happy the "troublemakers and shitlords" are gone. What a sad existence.

They're professional umbrage takers. Well, I guess most don't make money off of it, so most of them are casual or amateur umbrage takers. How else are they supposed to validate their ideas and existence if they need to create something instead of blubbering about what they hate?

It's just such foreign concept to me, to actually care so much that a group would leave one site and go to another, regardless of the reasons why. Literally cannot make sense of it. I suppose any rational person wouldn't though.

Have an upgoat for using the word umbrage. Also. Insightful.

The post was made by user /r/Dworkinator. This user is a mod of the main SRS subreddit. That's proof enough that SRS et al is actively involved in violating reddit's stated rules against vote brigaiding and harassment. If Reddit admins don't ban all SRS afeliated subs at this point, then that means they are complicit in whatever actions that subset of users take.

If Reddit admins don't ban all SRS afeliated subs at this point, then that means they are complicit in the whole SRS drama.

That isn't obvious enough already?

It's simple: they feel that either everyone has to play by their rules on their turf, or we have to shut up and never express our opinions anywhere. They can't stand the thought of a competing website where they can't control the narrative, a website that neutral readers might stumble upon and see opinions that differ from SJW orthodoxy.

And boom, you just won us the debate.

If we're all such assholes who represent a tiny percentage of the site and never contributed and reddit's so happy to see us leave, why would they attack our new site?

Unless of course we were a genuine potential long term threat, that is.

They want to quash dissent. They would see anyone who does not think like them be silenced; so long as we have a forum in which to speak openly, they will wail and gnash their teeth, and seek retribution for our not thinking alike.

They would much rather we stay on reddit, where we can be controlled and corralled and subjected to their views, than go elsewhere where we are free of their poison.

Like an angry ex who dumped you then tried to ruin your next relationship, because she's totally over you anyway, but you're much happier with the new girl because she let's you do that thing you like, and the ex goes around and tells everyone she's pregnant, and you just ignore her until she winds up outside your house at 2am in the rain yelling that she loves you, but you call the cops on her and they take her away, and you don't see her for a few years until you run into her at Stop & Shop and give her an awkward "hey" and then just walk away because it's still weird.

Don't forget to record her breakdown and save it for future use just in case she tries any more shit. Then you get to go all smear campaign, but since you have supporting evidence she loses all credibility (including among a few of her friends) and finally gives up.

/Had crazy ex.

So according to the admins after FPH, if this is reported to them the subreddit qualifies for deletion?

These are the same people who sent reddit into a shit spiral years ago. Best thing to do is to keep going. SRS burns out their members regularly as they get depressed the longer they are on there. Just keep them on there long enough for them to become suicidal, or quit, whatever. Let them eat each other.

I'd be a little worried about PayPal, and I'd also heavily recommend bailing entirely for the time being. Although holy shit this is just kind of sad, so much random hate put into something that could benefit them by moving people they dislike away from them.

" Want more fame and hilarity? Tell PayPal about the cp and the holocaust denial. Voat are in clear violation of their "Acceptable Use Policy ". [–]painaulevain 4 points 1 hour ago

Their paypal email is hello@voat.co

Report violations of Paypal's Acceptable Use Policy to:

aupviolations@paypal.com "

I just, I can't even hold all of these wuts.

Implying that either one of those couldn't be found on Reddit also.

I'm not implying that at all, nor did I at any stage; but enjoy your fancy high horse. (Edit, apparently I just suck and misunderstood the point he was trying to make. I guess I'll take that fancy high horse.)

I'm just pointing out that the ideas already been floated, and PayPal is far from friendly towards business at times, especially unknown upstarts. They'll freeze assets if they even get a hint of a complaint, or policy violation.

Heres an account freeze

Another

And another

And one more

Atko, or someone who can officially represent the community needs to pre-emptively contact PayPal and report these actions.

"Hey guys, just want to let you know, we have reason to believe users of Reddit are trying to exploit your reporting policy to attack sites they don't like, ours being one. You might want to keep an eye on them and take their reports with a grain of salt."

If anything this kind of action could get Reddit in deep shit with PayPal.
