They've always gone through periods where the show was funny and unfunny. It all depends on who is on the show (mainstays, not guests). But they haven't had a funny show in a very long time and the dynamics of the show has completel changed. The last time I remember the show being consistently funny (still a bit hit or miss even then) was back when Farley, Myers, Carvey, so on and so on were there. Even before then, the news segments used to poke at everyone. Everyone had a good time laughing at that ignorant slut, Jane, and her brilliant bulldogging.

These days the show is about pushing an ideology with low talent actors. The show is terrible. I've repeatedly tried watching it. And I did try. They are lucky if they have something which is even modestly humorous with one out of ten to twenty sketches. The return on time investment is terrible. In the meantime, the soul erosion from the idiotic, leftist, platitudes means it's a terrible investment in time. It's bad for your mental health.

While the show has always had it's ups and dry spells, what we're witnessing here is something else entirely. The only way you can enjoy the show is if you've already bought into the propaganda the show is pushing. Today, if you find the show is not funny, it's because you're mentally healthier and likely better informed than those who enjoy it. The show today is intended to be socially engineered propaganda. Otherwise, ignorance is bliss - which apparently also means you can laugh at the show.

Yes, before they became an arm of the DNC, apparently.

Really, though, it was before that for me—when they started with all of the incest crap, like family members making out. That's when I started losing interest, and then the constant political motivation from their camp was just too much. Terrible show.

Norm McDonnald is still around. We need to find a way to preserve him.
