to a degree perception is a type of 'reality' - because this is a 'dense' consensus, so you can even try it, if you really start thinking a certain way it will influence others around you. i don't 100% know why this is (right now) whether it's just because most people are easily influenced or if it is a consensus based thing.
I was once in what was meant to be a 'serious' meeting and in all seriousness submitted a signed & dated 'fluffy rainbow unicorn' picture into 'evidence.' it's complex but i thought it was pretty funny a the time, i don't know maybe it was maybe it wasn't, things get blurry, the serious depressing parts you will note if you talk to anyone that has been off this planet for a long enough time..
it's not so much 'depression' as a struggle for 'meaning' or direction, so these 'stresses' are important i say cherish them and learn as much as you can.
in retrospect i should have taken that meeting seriously as it could have had 'criminal' results but as the 'victim' (alleged) was a corporation it wasn't really a 'victim' as such, but at a point i was finding 'life' had really become ridiculous, because everything in a way seemed to be 'unravelling.' what i realized later was that i was adjusting it in real 'time'
but how could you know? how could i know that? how could you know if you are doing that now? you have no memory to fall back on, so it's a strange feeling, also full of opportunity.

All we can really do is what seems best/ most exciting in the moment which is what I believe all humans do. People just have a different view of what the 'best' or most exciting thing is for themselves based off past events and circumstances. That's why I like the saying 'there is no cause of anything'
