I'm center-right politically, albeit I sympathize with the far-right over Muslims and Islamism. I don't mind some of the right-wing biases because it's a good counter-balance to the left-wing biases. And the left-wing dominates too much in US media, that a strong right-wing is also needed in Europe in order to deal with the Muslims.
I generally dislike tabloids because their quality of writing is so poor. I generally think a stronger Murdoch might be good because the left-wing is dominating so much in the US. But I would love to see The Times be made free and turned into a center-right version of the New York Times so that its influence would grow.
Also I have a few things:
The Independent is a left-wing mid-level tabloid now, that looks like it supports socialist parties and has a strong pro-muslim bias.
The Guardian is one of the most popular news sites out there if Reddit is anything to go by, so I presume that the statistics are wrong.

You’ve never so much had freedom of speech on Airstrip One. Why would anyone think the press was free?

TLDR. I'll summarize reasons 1 thru 5; Jews and Money. It's an old story.
